FFA Tractor Driving Contest

Contestants will demonstrate their ability to operate a tractor and an implement. The contest
will promote awareness and provide an opportunity for youth to demonstrate proper tractor
safety.

Harnett’s Got Talent

1. Contestants must be adults and youth selected via talent auditions previously conducted by the Harnett Regional Agricultural Fair.
2. All school age children are welcome to participate in the audition process.

High School Football Tug of War

1. Event is open to all Harnett County High School Football teams.
2. Coaches from individual schools will select students to compete.
3. Rope will be provided for competition.
4. Judges will have final determination of winner.
5. Additional rules and guidelines can be obtained from high school football coaches.
6. Winning team will receive a traveling trophy to display at their school until the next tug of war competition.

High School Masonry Competition

1. Event is open to all students in Harnett County and neighboring schools.
2. Teachers from individual schools will select students to compete.
3. Each school will provide their own equipment.
4. Judging will be conducted by teachers and professionals.
5. Additional rules and guidelines can be obtained from high school masonry instructors.

Miss Harnett Pageant

The Miss Harnett Regional Agricultural Fair Pageant was held on May 3, 2011.

Lauren Taylor, a senior at Western Harnett High School and daughter of David and Beth Taylor of Broadway was crowned  this year’s queen.  First Runner-up was Anna Bruner, senior at Western Harnett and daughter of David and Teresa Bruner. The other contestants were Ibby Arnette of Lillington, Randi Bryden of Sanford and Amelia Frye of Lillington.
